Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing in NI house

Detectives investigating a stabbing incident at a house at Castleview in Gilford on Sunday morning have charged a 24-year-old man with a number of offences including attempted murder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and assault.
The accused is due to appear at Newry MC tomorrow - February 1.
As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
A PSNI statement revealed that officers were called to the house just before 3am on Sunday morning.
A man was arrested at the scene.
During the incident, a man in his 30’s sustained a number of stab wounds - and as a result of the incident he is currently in hospital receiving treatment.
