Evaded tax on cigarettes
He was Li Chai, Dunbarton Street, Gilford.
The first charge against him alleges that on August 4 last year he fraudulently evaded duty in relation for 41,980 cigarettes.
He pleaded guilty to this offence and also admitted that between August 4 and October 9 last year he fraudulently evaded duty on 6,800 cigarettes.

Hide AdA barrister representing the defendant said his client was going to China from May 5 until July 5 but he was a British citizen and would be coming back. The case was adjourned until August 4 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
