Man, 60, cut from car following crash near Coagh

A 60-year-old man had to be cut from his car by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment, following a two car collision on Battery Road, Coagh.

It is understood that the 39-year-old woman who was in the other car, was out of her vehicle when emergency services arrived.

The incident, which took place just after 6pm on Monday evening (May 16), involved fire crews from both Cookstown and Magherafelt.

It is understood both casualties were taken to a hospital for treatment to their injuries.
