New moderator for Dromore Presbytery
He took over from the Rev Leslie Patterson (Minister of Loughaghery and Cargycreevy Presbyterian Churches) at a presbytery meeting in First Lisburn Presbyterian Church on Tuesday March 1.
David, currently Secretary to the Council for Mission in Ireland, was Director of Scripture Union in Northern Ireland (1992-2002) and then Regional Director for Scripture Union in Britain, Ireland and the former Soviet Union (2002-2007).
He and his wife Zoe have lived in Lisburn since 1992.
