£1,000 boost for foodbank from Glengormley artist’s Christmas cards
Inspired by the vital service provided by the Trussell Trust foodbanks in Newtownabbey and North Belfast, Stephen McCurdy created a card featuring a festive Belfast City Hall and sold it via his Facebook page, Stephen McCurdy Art.
The card also features the artistic talents of his daughter Olivia, who coloured in part of the Christmas tree and wrote the festive greeting.

“I got 1,000 cards printed and all of them were sold in just four days. The support from the local community has been amazing.
“£10 will give a parent peace of mind that their family will not go hungry tonight.”
The cards and additional donations raised £1160 in total with £580 going to each foodbank.
