Sollus bring Highland dance to the Glen
They were amongst the rich wealth of entertainment on offer at an event in Cedar Street as part of the Derry City Council Community Relations Week.
The night had a number of dance performances from local groups such as McLaughlin School of Irish Dancing, McConomy School of Irish Dancing, the North West Migrants Forum, Alba Flamenco and the Derry Set Dancing Club.

Hide AdBronagh McCallion, Development Worker, thanked all of those who took part stating: “All the dance groups provided a variety of dance displays that easily showed the magnificent talent that is available in our city.”
Alongside the Bready pipers music was also provided by Louis McTaggart who sang a mixture of folk, country and his own songs.
There was also a mesmerising performance from Jennifer Grant who played the harp and sang a wide range of Irish songs.
Ms McCallion thanked all the performers for a great evenings’ entertainment and the local caterers who were able to supply a variety of multinational food.
She also thanked Derry City Council who funded the event through the Good Relations Programme and all the staff and volunteers of Glen Development Initiative whose hard work made the event possible.
