1600 Lightning Rods and Junior Stocks get on the road
The Irish Championship is what the drivers' race for all season and the grids were determined by the points the drivers had earned this season.

Hide AdYoung Cullybackey driver Curtis Greer started in pole postion with Glen White from Coleraine in second and local Aghadowey girl Lauren McIlroy in third. Curtis and Glen kept their position until the closing stages when Andrew Gamble slipped into second place.
Curtis Greer was crowned Junior Stocks Irish Champion with Andrew Gamble from Rasharkin in second and Glen White from Coleraine finishing in third place
In the final Mark Graham from Maghera took the chequered flag with newly crowned Irish Champion Curtis Greer taking second place and Andrew Gamble in third.

Hide Adended up in the wall and steady as ever Sammy Stewart crossed the finishing line first to pick up the Irish Champion title with Mark Dunlop from Ballymoney in second place and Coleraine man Amos McCloy finishing third.

The next meeting is on Friday 1st October featuring the Open Hot Rod Irish Championship. With Coleraine driver Paul Nevin and Aghadowey driver Richard Stewart on the front row this should be an interesting battle for the silverware. Racing starts at 7.15pm.
A presentation night is being held on Friday 12th November at The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine. There will be a Disco Trophy Presentations and a Buffet Supper. Tickets are 15 and can be bought from Race Control.
